Superconductivity and a van Hove singularity confined to the surface of a topological semimetal
Date:
This paper reported a two-dimensional superconducting state confined to the surface of the nodal-line semimetal ZrAs$_2$, together with a surface-localized van Hove singularity near the Fermi level. The transport, spectroscopy, and theory results pointed to an unusual surface-driven superconducting regime and provided a clean platform for studying the interplay between low-dimensional topology, enhanced correlations, and superconductivity.
